Oppo F3 Plus Price Cut in India for a Day via Flipkart

Oppo F3 Plus, which was launched in India earlier this year, has received a limited period price cut. Flipkart, the e-commerce website, is offering a one day price cut of Rs. 6,000 on the Oppo F3 Plus. It will be retailing at Rs. 24,990, down from the launch price of Rs. 30,990. Interested users can head to Flipkart to buy the Oppo F3 Plus at discounted price on Wednesday.

The smartphone was initially launched by the company at Rs. 30,990 in April this year. It received a temporary price cut in June as well.
The biggest highlight of the Oppo F3 Plus (Review) is its dual selfie camera setup. It comes with one 16-megapixel 1/3.1-inch sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and one 8-megapixel sensor. While the former sports a 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, the latter sports a 120-degree wide-angle lens that allows for 105-degree field-of-view group selfies. Users can choose which lens they want to utilise, and, the smartphone comes with a Smart Facial Recognition feature that Oppo says automatically suggests which lens is ideal. The smartphone comes with various camera features, including the Beautify 4.0 app, Selfie Panorama, Screen Flash, and Palm Shutter.
Other specifications include a 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) JDI In-Cell 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 1.95GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC that's coupled with an Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The dual-SIM Oppo F3 Plus runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. On the rear, the Oppo F3 Plus sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor.

Xiaomi MI MIX 2 to launch in India soon

Xiaomi yesterday launched couple of devices in China including the Mi Mix 2 handset and guess what the company will launch the Mi Mix 2 in India, Manu Kumar Jain has confirmed this via a tweet. Mi Mix 2 specs are already know, including the price in China.

Well it indeed is  breaking news, Manu Jain (VP @ Xiaomi) via a tweet confined that they will launch the Mi Mix 2 in India. If you may recall the first Mi Mix that was launched in China was not launched in India and everyone though that this one too will never see the day in India.

 However just few hours after the official event, and official announcement of Mi Mix 2, Manu Jain tweeted and cleared all the doubt. Good news guys the Mi Mix 2 is coming in India though the officially date has not yet been disclosed, but it is confirmed.

Next question is when will it be launched, and Jai Mani from Xiaomi confirmed it will be way sooner than 6 months. Mi Mix 2 price and specs are already known, price in China starts from Rs. 32,000. May be the price in India will be the same or a little more, but still worth it.

Nokia/HMD promised minimum two years of OS update support

HMD has made very clear from the beginning that Nokia Android smartphones will be supported with Monthly security updates and regular Android OS and feature updates, whenever available. They have even shown their commitment by releasing Android 7.1.1 Nougat and March, April and May security updates for Nokia 6 in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

The smartphones will get the Android O update once the new release is available from Google for their OEM partners, the same way HMD Global is committed to the monthly Android security updates

But not only Android O, Nokia 3, 5 and 6 will also get Android O successor that can be termed as Android P, if Google Android naming scheme is to be followed. HMD had announced at MWC 2017 that Nokia Android Phones will get guaranteed OS updates for two years. So, Android O roll-out by end of 2017 and Android P roll-out by end of 2018 is almost given for new Nokia Android smartphones.

Nokia is all set to launch their Nokia android powered smartphones in India namely the Nokia 3, 5 and 6. They have sent out invites for the launch event scheduled on 13th June 2017. The handset specs are already known, let’s wait for the price.
Nokia 3 is MediaTek powered featuring a 5 inch HD screen and running Nougat out of the box. This handset comes with 2GB RAM, 8MP primary camera and a 2650 mAh battery. Specs of Nokia 3 are okay all depends on the price.
The Nokia 5 on the other hand looks good with a Snapdragon 430 processor and this handset comes with 5.2 inch screen with HD resolution. YU Yureka Black launched Price Rs. 8999

YU today launched their next handset after a very long time, it’s the YU Yureka Black and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart. YU Yureka Black is Snapdragon 430 octa core powered, comes packed with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It’s price is Rs. 8,999.

New strategy by Micromax / YU – Micromax will be focusing on offline markets and the YU brand will on online centric only. This also means that YU products will be cheaper when compared with Micromax.

So the Yureka Black will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa core powered clocked at 1.4GHz (64 Bit processor) and as mentioned will come with 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM and micro SD card support of up to 128GB.

The rear camera is a 13MP shooter using SONY Sensor and Front camera is an 8MP shooter. This handset is 8.5mm thick and the display does come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There are two color options YU Yureka Chrome Black and YU Yureka Matte Black.

HMD will make Nokia 3, 5 and 6 available in India around Mid-June.

While Nokia 3310 (2017) has been released globally across many markets. HMD has announced official launch dates for Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in few markets only. India got Nokia 3310 (2017) on May 18 but there has been no official confirmation about Nokia 3, 5 and 6.

Now, our retail sources have tipped us that we can expect Nokia 3, 5 and 6 availability around June 15. Though not all three will be available in one go. Nokia 3 may go first followed by Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. But by end of June all three may be available in India. Pricing wise Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 may see slightly better pricing than seen in case of other markets.

YU YUREKA Black smartphone with metal body launching on June 1

YU is back after 9 months of hiatus since the launch of YUREKA S August last year. Even after rumors about the company shutting down, it teased the launch of a new smartphone earlier this month. The company has sent out invites for the launch of its YUREKA Black smartphone in June 1st.

Even though the company did not share any specifications of the smartphone the teaser shows a black colored smartphone with unibody metal design and a large camera sensor on the back with dual LED flash. It also shows the slim side profile of the phone, and you can also see the antenna lines on the top and the bottom parts of the back.
