Meizu’s M1 Note is the Chinese company’s first smartphone to go on sale in India

 Meizu is the next major smartphone manufacturer from China to enter the Indian market. It’s kicking off operations in the country with its M1 Note Android phone, that goes on sale on Amazon India this Wednesday.

Oddly, Meizu hasn’t revealed the M1 Note’s price yet. The 5.5-inch Android KitKat 4G dual-SIM device launched last December generally sells for about $220, which means it’ll likely see competition from the similarly-sized $170 Honor 4X and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4G.

The M1 Note will be available on May 20 at 2PM IST, no invite necessary.

Meizu to enter Indian smartphone market on May 18; expected to launch the M1 Note

Yet another China-based technology company, Meizu, seems to be all set to enter the Indian smartphone market.

While the company has not yet made any clear announcement regarding its foray into India, its recent tweet and Facebook post hint at the company's India debut on May 18.

The image tweeted by the company from its @Meizu_India Twitter account says, "We've heard you and here is the date. #0518". The image in the tweet, however, conveys the same meaning, but it also takes a dig at rival Xiaomi with the words "Are You ok?" These words uttered by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had generated much online amusement. Lei Jun was making an earnest attempt to deliver a speech in English during the Xiaomi Mi 4i product launch in India last month.

While there is no information as to what Meizu has up it sleeves for the Indian market, but it is expected that the company will unveil the Meizu M1 Note on May 18 in India. The phone features a 5.5-inch IPS FHD display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.

It was back in March when Meizu had set up its India Twitter account and also posted its first tweet teasing its India arrival.

Micromax newly lunched brand YU has launched their yet another smartphone,
the YU Yuphoria YUPHORIA priced under RS 6999. The new MMX Yuphoria
comes with some great specs considering the price tag. It comes with 2Gigs of
RAM similar to Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Lenovo P70,Lenovo A7000
 and A6000 Plus. The phone is made and assembled in India. The metal frame
on the phone makes it easy to grip and offers a premium look.

The YU Yuphoria YU-5010 is accomplished with 5 inch IPS Fully Laminated display having resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. It draws the strength from 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU. The Yuphoria runs on CyanogenMod OS 12 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has 8MP primary camera with f/2.2 piece of glass. The front camera is of 5 megapixel and has 4p lens that offers 86 degree wide angle lens.
